Attendance
It is very important to have your child attend school regularly and to arrive on time. School begins at 7:40. The first bell rings at 7:35 and at that time 3rd grade students will line up outside their door where their teacher will greet them. Doors to the building open at 7:15 AM. Breakfast begins at 7:15 AM.

Absences

If your child will be absent, please call/email the school or use the online absence form to let us know. This will help us ensure that all children have arrived safely. If calling is not possible, please send a note the following day.  

Dismissal

School is dismissed at 2:50. Teachers will escort students out of the building according to their mode of transportation. Car riders should be picked up in the back of the school via the car rider line. Parents that wish to park and walk to the entrance of the school should use the front parking lot. Please park in the front or side parking lot and walk to the front of the building. Students will be waiting for parents with their grade level.

Clothing
All 3rd graders are encouraged to wear sneakers/tennis shoes every day. Although we do not go to P.E. everyday, we do play and run outside each day. Sandals and slick bottom shoes can cause injuries.

Thursday Folders
Your child will bring home a folder every Thursday which will include notes and flyers from the school or PTA.  Classwork and/or graded work may also be included in the folder. Please take all papers out of the folder and have  your child return it to school the next day.

Toys
Toys should not be brought to school. We have many materials for all children to use. Toys from home can get lost or broken and cause disruptions.
