Field Trip to Westcave Preserve

We had such a fun time on our field trip to Westcave Preserve. It ties in perfectly with our science unit on ecosystems and environments as we got to see firsthand the different characteristics of two different ecosystems. We got to hear the sounds of the endangered bird, the Golden Cheeked Warbler, as we hiked through the riparian woodland ecosystem towards the grotto and cave. There was such beauty in nature to behold and the kids had an awesome time learning!
